The Open Coalition

Vision

An open coalition is sort of a larger alliance of all those entities (NGOs, think tanks, social enterprises, businesses, groups and associations) and individuals (intellectuals, public figures, reformers, politicians, bureaucrats, media-persons) working on the values of individual rights and freedoms—an open and vibrant society with restricted and reformed state-power.

  3. Achieving scale of initiatives
  4. Facilitating policy change

 

Examples

  1. Education Voucher Scheme

A public-private partnership to enrol out-of-school children to private schools via government vouchers

  1. Speed Education Programme

Children from low-income families AND students who have dropped out are brought back to school that ensures a convenient learning space

  1. Changa Pani Programme

A community-led partnership with the government to pave way for clean water and sanitation

  1. Civil Pakistan Party

A political party that presents itself as an alternative to Pakistan’s dynastic politics

The first libertarian think tank in pakistan, promoting a limited responsible government under the rule of law
